PULWAMA — Three days after a heavy snowfall was witnessed in the valley of Kashmir, especially in south Kashmir, many vital roads in Pulwama outskirts have not been cleared which has forced people to live with hardships of being stuck in their homes.

One such important road from Tujan village to Rahmoo road remained inaccessible for vehicles, even after being just nine kilometers away from main town Pulwama.

“Despite many requests to respective department, the road wasn’t cleared,” a local resident said.

Last day, the villagers had to walk nearly three kilometers by foot to help a pregnant lady to reach a nearby hospital. “Around 3:30 PM, we had to carry a pregnant lady from Tujan on a cot to a nearby hospital. This is the level of dedication with which the concerned officers work here,” a local resident said.

Meanwhile, locals of Tujan village later arranged a JCB after paying for it from their own pockets, so as to clear the way for an ambulance to carry the ailing lady to District Hospital Pulwama.
