KUPWARA — Thousands of people on Sunday attended the funeral of Mushtaq Ahmad Mir at his native village Sirajpora in Handwara. Mir was murdered by two persons on February 18 in Ferozpur area of Punjab.

With moist eyes, the local people including the deceased’s relatives participated in the last rites of Mir.

On Saturday (February 19), Punjab Police arrested two persons including a lady for murdering the businessman from north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.

Two accused were identified as Sonu son of Janta Singh of village Arif K Hall, resident of village Sodhe Wala and Beant Kaur, wife of Shaan Singh, resident of Aav Ke Hall.
