Contact Programme schedule of M.Ed (Distance Mode) session 2014-15

SRINAGAR — The Directorate of Distance Education at the University of Kashmir has officially released the schedule for the 1st Contact Programme for students enrolled in the M.Ed. Course (Distance Mode) for the 2014-15 session. The announcement was detailed in a public notice.

According to the notification issued by the Assistant Registrar, the contact classes are district-specific and will commence on January 22, 2015. All sessions are scheduled to begin promptly at 11:00 a.m.

Official Schedule by District

Students are required to report to their designated venues on the following dates based on their home district:

• Budgam: January 22, 2015, at the College of Teacher Education, MANUU (56-Chinar Colony, Bagate Barazulla, Srinagar).
• Pulwama, Shopian & Kulgam: January 22, 2015, at the Government College of Education, M.A Road, Srinagar.
• Anantnag & Srinagar: January 28, 2015, at the 3rd Floor, New Education Block, University of Kashmir, Srinagar.
• Baramulla & Ganderbal: January 28, 2015, at the Directorate of Distance Education, University of Kashmir, Srinagar.
• Bandipora: January 29, 2015, at the P.G Department of Economics, University of Kashmir, Srinagar.
• Kupwara: February 5, 2015, at the Directorate of Distance Education, University of Kashmir, Srinagar.

Strict Attendance Policy

The university administration has issued a firm reminder regarding mandatory attendance requirements for the duration of the programme. Students failing to meet the minimum threshold will face academic penalties.

Important Notice: 60% attendance is a statutory requirement in the contact programme and no candidate in any case will be allowed to sit in the internal assessment test as well as in the final examination if found short of attendance in the contact programme.
