Final Selection List for Assistant Stock Man Posts in Kupwara

KUPWARA — The Government of Jammu & Kashmir’s Office of the District Sheep Husbandry Officer, Kupwara, has officially released the final selection list of candidates for the post of Assistant Stock Man (ASM) for the district.

The announcement follows the earlier advertisement notice (No. DSHOK/Estt/2014-2015/732-739) issued on July 1, 2014. The recruitment drive aimed to fill Class IV vacancies within the Sheep Husbandry Department across various categories.

Selection Details by Category

The District Recruitment Committee has finalised candidates across four main categories: Open Merit (OM), Resident of Backward Area (RBA), Scheduled Caste (SC), and Scheduled Tribe (ST).

Open Merit (OM) Category: A total of 08 posts were allocated to the OM category. The top candidates selected, based on a 100-point scale, are:

• Reyaz Ahmad Chopan (Lassipora Sogam) – 62.27 points
• M Altaf Sheikh (Gushi Kupwara) – 62.02 points
• Mudasir Mohi Din Mir (Gulgam) – 60.48 points
• Mushtaq Ahmad Shah (Gangbaeg Lolab) – 59.58 points
• Aftab Ahmad Mir (Farkaan) – 59.40 points
• Sayema Akhther (Gulgam) – 59.36 points
• Bashir Ahmad Dar (Lassipora Sogam) – 55.80 points
• Hamida Bano (Hirri Bala) – 55.45 points

A waiting list of three candidates, led by Rayees Ahmad Sheikh (55.31 points), has also been issued for the OM category.

Resident of Backward Area (RBA) Category: For the 02 posts under the RBA category, the successful candidates are:

• Bilal Ahmad Chopan (Dewar Lolab) – 54.76 points
• Ayaz Ahmad Shah (Chamkoot Karnah) – 54.35 points

Scheduled Caste (SC) & Scheduled Tribe (ST) Categories: Both the SC and ST categories were allocated 01 post each:

• SC Category: Rohit Kumar from Bathera Jammu secured the position with 45.00 points.
• ST Category: Aijaz Ah Gorsi from Khudi Lolab was selected with 54.10 points.

Waiting lists featuring one candidate each have also been published for the RBA, SC, and ST categories to accommodate any potential dropouts.

The comprehensive selection list was signed and authorised by the District Sheep Husbandry Officer, Kupwara, who also serves as the Chairman of the Designated District Recruitment Committee for Class IV Sheep Husbandry Department, Kupwara.
