Forces launch searches in Baramulla & Kulgam villages

SRINAGAR — Government forces on Friday morning launched a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) in Rambal Kunzer area of Baramulla district.

Reports said that a joint team of 2 RR and Special Operations Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir Police Kunzer laid a siege at Rambal village of Kunzer.

The cordon was launched following inputs about the presence of militants in the area.

The searches were going on when this report was filed.

Meanwhile, the forces also launched a search operation in Okay village of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district.

Official sources said that on specific inputs about the presence of militants, joint team of forces launched search operation in the area.

Local sources said that huge contingents of forces have been deployed and search operation is on in the area.
