PULWAMA — A distressed policeman is searching for his adolescent son who is believed to have joined militants in a rural area in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
Mohammad Ashraf has been unable to sleep for the past week, NDTV reported. He’s on the lookout for any information that could lead to the recovery of his son, Kaisar Ahmad Dar.
Naseema Begum, the missing teenager’s mother, said that her son Kaisar aspired to join the Indian Army and become a Major. “He would always tell me that he wanted to be a Major in the Army, but I would always tell him that I wanted him to be a doctor,” Naseema said.
The 17-year-old, who went missing four days before his Class 12th board results were released, passed the exams with an 88 per cent grade.
Kaisar’s family was overjoyed because of his good grades in the exams but the happiness didn’t last long. “I bought these sweets well before his results were declared as he was confident of scoring good grades. I couldn’t wait any longer. However, it’s now rotting,” she explained.
However, Kaisar quietly snuck out of his home on Friday in Tujan village‘s Karevas (elevated land), turned off his phone, and vanished.
The family has now posted videos on social media, pleading with their kin to return home.
