117 new COVID-19 cases, one death in J&K

SRINAGAR — Ten travelers and a BSF trooper were among 117 fresh COVID-19 cases reported in Jammu and Kashmir in the last 24 hours, officials said here on Thursday.

Giving breakup of the cases, the officials said that 42 were from Jammu Division and 75 from Kashmir Valley, taking the overall tally to 123764.

Regarding the cases, Srinagar reported 46 cases, Baramulla 2, Budgam 4, Pulwama 8, Kupwara 4, Anantnag 3, Bandipora 1, Ganderbal 3, Kulgam 1, Shopian 3, Jammu 33, Udhampur 5, Rajouri 0, Doda 0, Kathua 3, Samba 0, Kishtwar 1, Poonch 0, Ramban 0 and Reasi 0.

Moreover, they said, 104 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and were discharged from various hospitals—39 from Jammu Division and 65 from Kashmir Valley.

So far 120729 have recovered while 1924 have died, leaving the number of active positive cases at 1111.

55-year-old woman dies due to COVID-19, J&K toll 1924

A 55-year-old woman died in Jammu and Kashmir due to COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, officials said on Thursday.

They said that the woman belonged Nanak Nagar Jammu and her death took the number of people succumbing to the virus to 1924—1207 in the Valley and 717 in Jammu region.

Srinagar district with 453 deaths tops the list followed by Jammu (368), Baramulla (173), Budgam (115), Kupwara (94), Pulwama (88), Anantnag (84), Doda (64), Bandipora (61), Udhampur (57), Kulgam (54), Rajouri (55), Kathua (51), Ganderbal (46), Shopian (39), Samba (39), Poonch (24), Ramban (21), Kishtwar(22), and Reasi (15).
