
SRINAGAR — Twelve travelers were among 113 fresh COVID-19 cases reported in Jammu and Kashmir in the last 24 hours, officials said here Tuesday evening.
Giving breakup of the cases, the officials said that 53 were from Jammu Division and 60 from Kashmir Valley, taking the overall tally to 123538.
Regarding the cases, Srinagar reported 37 cases, Baramulla 5, Budgam 7, Pulwama 4, Kupwara 2, Anantnag 0, Bandipora 1, Ganderbal 0, Kulgam 2, Shopian 2, Jammu 40, Udhampur 0, Rajouri 0, Doda 0, Kathua 1, Samba 2, Kishtwar 1, Poonch 7, Ramban 2 and Reasi 0.
Meanwhile, 120 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and were discharged from various hospitals—52 from Jammu and 68 from Kashmir Valley.
With this, the number of active positive cases has reduced to 1103—396 in Jammu and 707 in Kashmir.
COVID-19 claims one more life, toll 1923
A 60-year-old man from Uri area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district became one more victim of COVID-19 in Jammu and Kashmir, officials said on Tuesday.
There was no death reported elsewhere in Jammu and Kashmir in the last 24 hours, they said.
So far, 1923 people have succumbed to virus in J&K—1206 in the Valley and 715 in Jammu region.
Srinagar district with 453 deaths tops the list followed by Jammu (367), Baramulla (172), Budgam (115), Kupwara (94), Pulwama (88), Anantnag (84), Doda (64), Bandipora (61), Udhampur (57), Kulgam (54), Rajouri (55), Kathua (51), Ganderbal (46), Shopian (39), Samba (39), Poonch (24), Ramban (21), Kishtwar (22), and Reasi (15).
