SRINAGAR — Fourteen travelers and a soldier were among 94 new novel coronavirus cases reported in Jammu and Kashmir in the last 24 hours, officials said on Saturday.

They said that 29 of these cases were reported from Jammu Division and 65 from Kashmir Valley, taking the overall tally to 123946.

Giving district-wise details, they said that Srinagar reported 38 cases, Baramulla 3, Budgam 6, Pulwama 0, Kupwara 2, Anantnag 8, Bandipora 0, Ganderbal 4, Kulgam 1, Shopian 3, Jammu 29, Udhampur 0, Rajouri 0, Doda 0, Kathua 0, Samba 0, Kishtwar 0, Poonch 0, Ramban 0 and Reasi 0.

Moreover, they said, 88 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and were discharged from various hospitals—23 from Jammu Division and 65 from Kashmir Valley.

So far, 120914 cases have recovered so far—50268 in Jammu and 70646 Kashmir—while 1929 people succumbed to the virus in J&K.

There are 1103 active cases—403 in Jammu and 700 in Kashmir.

82-year-old dies of COVID-19, J&K toll 1929

Jammu and Kashmir reported one more death due to COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, taking the fatality count to 1929, officials said on Saturday.

They said that lone victim was an 82-year-old man from Lakreshan Villgam area of the Kupwara.

His death took the Valley’s fatality count to 1210 while 719 persons lost life to the pestilence in Jammu division.

Srinagar district with 453 deaths tops the list, followed by Jammu (370), Baramulla (173), Budgam (117), Kupwara (95), Pulwama (88), Anantnag (84), Doda (64), Bandipora (61), Udhampur (57), Kulgam (54), Rajouri (55), Kathua (51), Ganderbal (46), Shopian (39), Samba (39), Poonch (24), Ramban (21), Kishtwar (22), and Reasi (15).
