18 travelers among 88 fresh COVID-19 cases in J&K

SRINAGAR — Eighteen travelers were among 88 new covid-19 cases reported in Jammu and Kashmir in the last 24 hours, taking the total tally to 123852, officials told GNs on Friday.

Among the cases, they said, 42 are from Jammu Division and 46 from Kashmir Valley.

Giving district-wise details, Srinagar reported 18 cases, Baramulla 4, Budgam 5, Pulwama 4, Kupwara 3, Anantnag 4, Bandipora 2, Ganderbal 4, Kulgam 2, Shopian 0, Jammu 32, Udhampur 2, Rajouri 3, Doda 1, Kathua 0, Samba 0, Kishtwar 0, Poonch 4, Ramban 0 and Reasi 0.

Moreover, they said, 97 more Covid-19 patients have recovered and were discharged from various hospitals— 30 from Jammu Division and 67 from Kashmir Valley. (GNS)

CRPF Trooper Among 4 More Die Due To Covid-19 In J&K, Toll 1928

A paramilitary CRPF trooper was among four people who succumbed due to covid-19 in Jammu and Kashmir in the last 24 hours, officials said on Friday.

A resident of UP, the trooper belonged to 178 battalion CRPF and he died at JMC Jammu, the officials told GNS.

The other victims include a woman from R S Pura Jammu, a 70-year-oldman from Ramhama Beerwah Budgam and an 80-year-old man from Mouchwa Baghi Mehtab Budgam.

227 fresh COVID-19 cases, three deaths in J&K

With these deaths, the fatality count due to the virus in Jammu and Kashmir reached 1928—719 in Jammu and 1209 in Kashmir Valley.

Srinagar district with 453 deaths tops the list followed by Jammu (370), Baramulla (173), Budgam (117), Kupwara (94), Pulwama (88), Anantnag (84), Doda (64), Bandipora (61), Udhampur (57), Kulgam (54), Rajouri (55), Kathua (51), Ganderbal (46), Shopian (39), Samba (39), Poonch (24), Ramban (21), Kishtwar(22), and Reasi (15).
