
SRINAGAR — Nine travelers were among 109 cases of COVID-19 reported in Jammu and Kashmir in the last 24 hours, taking the total infection tally to 123217, officials said on Saturday.
Among the fresh cases, 55 are from Jammu Division and 54 from Kashmir Division, officials said.
Giving district-wise details, they said, Srinagar reported 20 cases, Baramulla 8, Budgam 5, Pulwama 7, Kupwara 5, Anantnag 1, Bandipora 0, Ganderbal 5, Kulgam 1, Shopian 2, Jammu 47, Udhampur 1, Rajouri 0, Doda 0, Kathua 2, Samba 3, Kishtwar 0, Poonch 1, Ramban 1 and Reasi 0.
Moreover, they said, 256 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and were discharged from various hospitals—168 from Jammu Division and 88 from Kashmir Valley.
COVID-19 claims one more life, J&K toll 1921
One more person succumbed to COVID-19 in J&K in the last 24 hours, taking the fatality count to 1921, officials said on Saturday. The victim, they said, belonged to Kashmir Valley—75-year-old man from Mazhama Magam Budgam.
So far, 1921 people have succumbed to virus in J&K—1206 in the Valley and 715 in Jammu region.
Srinagar district with 453 deaths tops the list followed by Jammu (367), Baramulla (172), Budgam (115), Kupwara (94), Pulwama (88), Anantnag (84), Doda (64), Bandipora (61), Udhampur (57), Kulgam (54), Rajouri (55), Kathua (51), Ganderbal (46), Shopian (39), Samba (39), Poonch (24), Ramban (21), Kishtwar (22), and Reasi (15).
