
SRINAGAR — The Forest Department retrieved 30 kanals of encroached land in Zampathri Keller area of south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Tuesday.
According to an official, the Forest Protection Force (FPF) team Gulabteng led by range officer Romshi, Shakir Hussain along with staff of Zampathri block, assisted by Assistant Director FPF Manzoor Ahmad Khan were part of the operation.
In the operation, around 35 kanals of land were freed from encroachment in Compartment No. RI 7 (Dina) of Zampathri block, while the team also dismantled many structures raised by land grabbers, the official said.
The entire operation was conducted under the supervision of Divisional Forest Officer, Shopian Mohummad Ayub Sheikh.
