ANANTNAG — A 75-year-old man died in a south Kashmir hospital this afternoon. The man had been tested positive for COVID-19 a couple of days ago and was admitted at Government Medical College Anantnag.

Divulging information about the deceased patient, GMC Anantnag Principal Dr Showkat Jeelani said that the 75-year-old man died today due to COVID-19 infection. He said the man had acute respiratory problems.

The deceased is the resident of Panzath Qazigund area of south Kashmir.

Earlier, a 52-year-old man died of the same infection at CD Hospital Srinagar during morning hours.
