PULWAMA — The local residents in Omerabad Chatapora area, in the outskirts of Pulwama town, are hassled with Reliance Jio’s poor mobile connectivity signals.
Locals said that the poor network coupled with low internet speed in their area is causing them immense hardships.
“We have been suffering due to frequent call drops and poor network connectivity,” they said, adding that despite repeated attempts, concerned authorities have failed to resolve the issue.
Umer Wani, one of the locals, said, “Jio has terribly failed in providing the service which they are supposed to the residents, given the charges. From the last few months, it seems our area has been ignored by the company.”
He added, “It is miserable, suffocating and has become an obstacle as far as online studies of students are concerned.”
Another local resident said, “We request the concerned company to kindly resolve this irritating problem, which has become a source of daily headache.”
When contacted, the company officials said that they are consistently working to enhance network connectivity throughout the Valley. “They should approach the district administration or network wing of telecom company to get this issue resolved,” an official said.
