Shops, house damaged in Kangan fire incident

GANDERBAL — Four shops and a residential house were damaged in fire incidents here in Chatargul area of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.

Fire broke out in the shops of Haji Lateef, Bashir Ahmad, Javaid Ahmad Chopan and Ghulam Mohammad near Chatargul bus stand in the jurisdiction of Police Station Kangan, resulting in damage to the shops.

The residential house in the same area, which was also destroyed by fire, belonged to Ghulam Mohammad Mir of Chatargul.

Fire was brought under control with the help of fire tenders and locals. The cause of the fire is being ascertained.
