Youth dies in road mishap at main market in Chadoora

BUDGAM — A youth was killed on Tuesday afternoon after he was hit by a Tipper at main market Chadoora in central Kashmir’s Budgam district.

Officials said that a 23-year-old youth, who was mentally unsound, died in the mishap after he was hit by a Tipper bearing registration number JK01K-6814 when he was crossing the road.

Police officials confirmed the incident and identified the deceased as Waseem Farooq, son of Farooq Ahmad Wani of Monchwa Chadoora.

They added that a case has been registered while further investigation has been started in this regard.
