Srinagar: Jammu & Kashmir Government’s Finance Department has ordered a change in the minimum qualification for the posts of Accounts Assistant.
A Government Order No. 515-F of 2018; Dated: 30-11-2018 has been issued by the Department in this connection.
“Sanction is hereby accorded to the incorporation of following qualification clause in the J&K Subordinate Accounts (Revised) Service Rules. Minimum qualification of candidates for selection to the post of Accounts Assistant shall be Graduation from any recognized University with the minimum of 50% marks for Open Merit and 45% marks for Reserved Category,” reads the order.
The candidates with Graduation in Commerce, Business Administration and any other discipline with Mathematics, Statistics or Economics as one of the subjects are the only eligible candidates after the change in qualification.
Meanwhile, the state government on Tuesday ordered some amendments in the Jammu and Kashmir Special Recruitment Rules, 2015.
According to an SRO 538, the selection agency asked to prepare waiting list from 50 percent to 100 percent, where the number of vacancies are ten or less.
“In exercise of powers conferred by provision to Section 124 of the Constitution of Jammu and Kashmir, the Government hereby makes the following amendments in sub-rule (2) of Rule 7, Jammu and Kashmir Special Recruitment Rules, 2015,” the SRO reads.
“The selection agency shall also prepare a waiting list up to 50 percent of the total number of posts advertised, which shall extend to 100 percent where the number of vacancies is 10 (ten) or less and forward the same to the concerned appointing authority,” it reads.
