A poetry event 'Mehfil-e-Mushaira' was organised in south Kashmir's Pulwama district by Coffee & Kalam, Kashmakash Trust Pulwama and Qalamkaar Kashmir.

"I am scattered in me, Showing a glimpse of my soul, Oh! I am in senses, To all broken tenses," writes the poet.

"From the top floor of the highest seat, Of learning, I can behold the beauty, Spread all over the lawns beneath, Like a source of joy, never-ending."

"Where are you, my mother? Where have you gone? All the sweetness of life has ended, While the bitterness has spread here and there."

"I am still burning in the dark of night. The flames are touching the sky, while the smoke engulfs the universe. The dogs have taken shelter in cow sheds."

"Where are you at this moment? The weather is calm and the blood is not shed. Lovers are meeting while forgetting their grudges."
