Srinagar: A yet another video has gone viral on social networking websites showing Army torturing Kashmiri youth to chant ‘Pakistan Murdabad’ slogans.
Pertinently, the video has surfaced just a day after Army was seen distributing sweets among the local people on the eve of Eid-ul-Fitr which the Army top brass termed as an opportunity to strengthen bonding and enrich brotherhood.
The shocking video, in which forces are seen torturing a Kashmiri boy while showering choicest abuses at him, is being circulated on social media including WhatsApp.
Captured in an Army vehicle, Army torturing Kashmiri youth to chant ‘Pakistan Murdabad’ as the young Kashmiri is being slapped and thrashed. The soldiers are also seen beating him to chant “I love my India…”, “Pakistan Murdabad… Hindustan Zindabad…”.
Even after chanting the slogans, he is still being beaten for not raising “Hindustan Zindabad” slogan loudly.
One of the soldiers is also heard threatening the boy, “We’ll enlist him as a militant and then will shoot him dead”.
“This is what Indian Army has been doing in Kashmir from the last two decades. Killing innocent Kashmirs and dubbing them as militants,” a prominent Kashmiri journalist, Bilal Ahmad Bhat wrote in one of his Facebook posts.
Opposition leader and Additional Spokesperson of National Conference, Sarah Hayat Shah termed the incident as a “blot on Indian democracy”.
“Yet another shocking video! FORCES torture a young Kashmiri, ask him to chant “I love my India”. Such a big blot on democracy!!,” she posted on Facebook.
Previously, two videos wherein forces are seen mercilessly beating youth and asking them to shout anti-Pakistan and Pro-India slogans went viral on social media.
The videos have invited sharp criticism from social media users with many Kashmiri netizens calling for investigating into these torture videos.
