Awantipora village under siege as CASO underway

PULWAMA — Government forces on Wednesday evening launched a Cordon and Search Operation in Awanpora village of Awantipora area in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

Official sources said that on specific inputs about the presence of militants, a joint team of forces including 42 RR, 13 Bn CRPF and SOG Awantipora launched search operation in the area.

Local sources said that huge contingents of forces have been deployed in the area and door to door search operation is on in the area.
