SRINAGAR — A man from central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district allegedly posing as an Under Secretary in Raj Bhavan has been arrested by the Cyber Crime Investigation Centre for Excellence (CICE), Jammu.

As per the news agency CNS, SSP CICE J&K (Jammu) said, “The impersonator was apprehended by a team of Police Station CICE Jammu. Some incriminating material including fake ID cards, seals and other documents used in the commission of crime have also been seized from his possession.”

The accused has been identified as Firdous Ahmad Wagay son of Ghulam Nabi Wagay, a resident of Waskora, Ganderbal.

“After taking cognizance, a case FIR 03/2024 under relevant sections of law was registered in Police Station CICE Jammu against the impersonator,” said SSP CICE J&K.

It was further added that an investigation into the case is underway.
