Body of Tral woman retrieved from Dal Lake

SRINAGAR — The body of a 36-year-old woman was found and retrieved from Dal Lake along foreshore road area by local inhabitants here on Thursday afternoon.

Reports reaching here said that some locals saw a female body floating over waters, following which efforts were made and the body fished out from the lake.

The body was kept near the venue for some time and locals were informed to identify the deceased woman, however no identification was made.

After intimation, a police team arrived at the spot and took the body into its custody.

A police official concerned, in the meantime, confirming the recovery of woman from the water body and said that the deceased (name withheld), 36-year-old, is a resident of Tral area of Pulwama district.

“We are ascertaining the facts into the matter,” he further said.
