SRINAGAR — After a night-long search operation in Samboora village of southern Kashmir’s district of Pulwama, government forces cordoned off several other villages of the district on Tuesday morning and carried out search operations, which continued till late in the evening.
According to reports, a joint team of Army’s RR, CRPF and SOG armed with heavy weaponry, laid a siege around Murran, Mitrigam, Drabgam and Rajpora villages in Pulwama district on early Tuesday morning and carried out ‘Cordon and Search Operation’ (CASO) in these villages, which continued till Tuesday evening.
During the daylong operation, forces paraded the people of these villages and checked their identity cards.
Forces also conducted house-to-house searches; however, there was no information about any arrests from these villages.
