Three drown in Jhelum after bridge collapses in Uri

SRINAGAR — Three persons went missing on Sunday after an old bridge collapsed in Mohra Uri in north Kashmir’s Baramulla.

Reports said that three persons went missing after falling into river Jhelum while removing an old bridge in north Kashmir’s Uri Baramulla.

Soon after the incident, a rescue operation was launched by the Police, Army and Civil administration joined by local volunteers.

The officials identified the missing person as Shakeel Ahmad Mir son of Sayeed-ullah Mir, resident of Kupwara; Bilal Ahmad Reshi son of Abdul Ahad Reshi, resident of Arizal Budgam and Mohammad Aslam Chauhan resident of Anantnag.
