Pulwama: Thousands of people in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district participated in the slain militants’ funeral prayers at their native villages.

Four militants affiliated with the Jaish-e-Mohammad militant outfit were killed in a gunfight which erupted in Hajin Payeen village of Pulwama district yesterday.

The slain militants included one foreign militant and three locals. They were identified as Muzamil Nabi Dar from Rahmoo village, Muzamil Nazir Bhat from Prichoo village and Waseem Akram Wani from Tikken village.

Meanwhile, a shutdown is being observed in the area. Mobile internet also stands snapped in the district since yesterday morning.
