BARAMULLA — Ten policemen were injured after their vehicle met with an accident in Tragpora village of Rafiabad in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Friday.

Reports reaching here said that they were traveling, on election duty, from Dangiwacha to Srinagar when the driver of the vehicle lost control on his speed at Tragpora village in Rafiabad and resulted into ten cops being seriously injured in the mishap.

Meanwhile, police sources said that all the injured persons were rescued and were shifted to District Hospital Baramulla.

The hospital authorities identified injured cops as Constable Bhopal, Constable Ravi Kumar, Constable Anil Kumar, Constable Mohammad Shafi, Constable Vishal Kumar, Constable Asif Yousuf, Constable Syed Tanveer, Constable Mehraj-ud-Din and Constable Tariq Ahmad.

Authorities at DH Baramulla further said that all the injured cops are stable and undergoing treatment.
